Sunday flowers

A lazy Sunday translated on canvas, soft sunlight spilling like ink into blooms and lingering. The flowers portray a gentle calm, carrying meaning, small gushes of hope. It’s a piece that invites you to slow down, breathe, and sink into the ease of a sunny afternoon.

Painting a still life is to enter into a conversation with what often goes unnoticed. I thoroughly enjoy creating still life compositions and painting them. I truly learn to observe deeply. As I often say ''You have never truly seen until you must create'' the curve of a leaf, the shimmer of sunlight on glass, the quiet imperfection of an object. My work contains a great deal of observing and I wouldn't want it any other way.

Sunday flowers is oil on oilpaper, 30 x 40 cm. This piece has been sold.
